Applied Sprinkler Technology

This three-level series is an update of the AFSA Sprinkler Designer Correspondence Course and will train designers on all aspects of the fire sprinkler technology and design. This course is available with your choice of paper or online testing. The tests are identical no matter the method you choose. With online testing, you save money on postage (no mailing tests for grading), there are no retake fees if the test is failed, and the process is faster with no bubble sheets to complete.

For security purposes, a proctor password can be set up at your request to prevent the student from testing with proctor approval.

AFSA Applied Sprinkler Technology Level I

Some of the topics in Book I are applied sprinkler technology, piping materials,
piping supports, basic building layout, sprinkler spacing rules and fundamentals
of sprinkler system layout.

This second of the three-book series. Some topics included: basic hydraulics, water supplies, water demand requirements, pipe schedule systems, hand calculations, computer calcs, plan submittal with calcs, wet systems, anti-freeze, dry systems, preaction systems, deluge systems, material take off, sleeving, pipe offsets, drains, stand pipes and hose cabinets, FDCs & inspectors tests, and underground & backflow.
