This two-hour webinar is an abridged version
of one of the most popular attended half-day
programs at AFSA’s annual conventions
and will benefit sprinkler designers, project
managers, installers and AHJ’s alike. This
program will highlight the key changes to
all three Fire Sprinkler Standards.
Speaker Info:
Robert Caputo, CFPS
Bob Caputo, CFPS, Vice President – National
Accounts, joined Fire & Life Safety America
in June 2006. Bob is a member of the NFPA
13 Installation Committee and the NFPA 25
Committee. He is a nationally known senior
instructor for both NFPA and AFSA on fire
sprinklers, fire pumps, standpipes, plan
review, hydraulic calculations, inspection
testing & maintenance requirements, and
project management. He is the author of AFSA’s
Project Management Tools and has developed
training materials for online and live seminars
for AHJs and contractors through the AFSA,
NFPA, and CLSE. Prior to joining FLSA, Bob
was the President and COO of Consolidated
Fireprotection, Inc., in Carlsbad, CA, and
a former Partner in TVA, a nationwide Fire & Life
Safety consulting and engineering firm. Bob
has been a member of the fire protection
community for more than 30 years, having
served as a volunteer fire fighter and trained
in fire suppression at the U.S. Naval Fire
Fighting Training Center in San Diego, CA.
Bob attended the University of Albuquerque
New Mexico, is past President of the San
Diego Fire Protection Association, and is
a former Chairman of the AFSA SoCal Chapter.
Bob was named San Diego County’s “Fire
Prevention Officer of the Year” in
1994 and FPC Magazine’s Person of the
Year in 1997.

A desktop or laptop computer connected to
the Internet is required. You will
be provided with a link to join in. You
will usie your browser (ie..Safari, Firefox,
Mozilla, etc.) to get connected to the
live PowerPoint presentation and live audio.
You can have many people listening in your
office for the price of one. The audio
will be transmitted though your computer
speakers. You can ask questions from
wherever you are using a feature that allows
you to type in your question during the
live presentation. The speaker will
read your question aloud and answer it
live. You will be able to download
the PDF file of the PowerPoint slide presentation
the day of the seminar. You can also
print the PDF file presentation and make
as many copies as you need for note-taking.
