Review of Hydraulics – Hand and Computer-Generated

Review of Hydraulics – Hand and Computer-Generated
This webinar, geared toward AHJs, focuses on the process for reviewing hydraulic calculations.

It will detail the common mistakes and errors that an AHJ should look out for when reviewing plans and calculations and how those mistakes will manifest over several different design methods.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this webinar, participants should be able to:
    1.   Understand that the design approach selected is at the layout technician’s discretion
    2.   Determine the hydraulic area
    3.   Identify and apply common mistakes with starting flows and pressures
    4.   Understand and identify small compartments omitting flow
    5.   Identify and understand the different ways to present information using the Supply and Node Analysis Sheet and the Detailed Worksheet
    6.  Verify minimum flow and pressure requirements at all sprinklers in a hydraulic area
