New research has identified that the operating pressure and sprinkler type is more important than the theoretical density delivered.

James E. Golinveaux is President and CEO of Viking Group with 38 years of experience in the fire sprinkler industry. He currently holds 12 US Patent families in Automatic Sprinkler Technologies. He is a past member or the Board of Trustees for the Fire Protection Research Foundation, as well as multiple other Boards and Councils including the Factory Mutual Advisory, AFSA, NFSA, International Fire Sprinkler Association and the Fire Sprinkler Association of Brazil. Mr. Golinveaux currently Chairs the NFPA Standards council.
