This webinar will cover the basics of NFPA 25, Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems and discuss the requirements for completing an inspection, what is in the scope of NFPA 25, and what is not.

A review of responsibilities will also be covered. An additional focus of the webinar will be on reviewing deficiencies and what is within the scope of NFPA 25. The webinar will also review a  list of common frequently asked questions regarding NFPA 25.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this webinar attendees will be able to:
1.  Identify the requirements for successfully completing an NFPA 25 inspection
2.  Apply what is reviewed in practice when identifying deficiencies requiring action


John Campbell, P.E.
John Campbell, P.E., is the Executive Vice President of Engineering for Global Fire Protection Group, an internationally recognized fire protection engineering and consulting firm. He is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) and serves on several code development committees, including: NFPAs 18, 18A, 20, 22, 120/122, and 1150, and formerly sat on NFPAs 30 and 30B. He is an active member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) serving on the Board of Directors, holds the grade of Fellow in the Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE), is an active member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) sitting on the Fire Protection Subcommittee of Distribution Systems, and is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). Mr. Campbell is also a non-voting member of the International Code Council (ICC).
