Train the Trainer Workshop Pt. 1

Train the Trainer Workshop Pt. 1
It’s time to put your knowledge and experience to work training the next generation of Fire Sprinkler Fitters and Technicians.  Remember, one of the most important aspects of training new installers is the fact that you may be working side by side with them and in some cases down the road, working for one or more of them – so train them right!

THIS IS A TWO PART SERIES. TO BE CONSIDERED AS AN AFSA APPRENTICESHIP TRAINER, YOU MUST ALSO REGISTER FOR AND ATTEND PART 2 OF THIS WORKSHOP.

Develop the mindset and expectations for the apprenticeship program. This session will address specific qualities needed for trainers to be successful in this program.

Standardized Training for Instructors – Learning Objectives
1. Improve the quality of instruction by teaching trainers what matters and why.
2. Trainers will understand how to focus training on direct learning.

3. Participants will learn to organize curriculum and increase their comfort level as presenters.
4. Trainers will learn to demonstrate ethical behaviors and stewardship on the job through sharing personal experiences along with course materials.

5. Trainers will demonstrate how information will be used by apprentices.
