As President of the American Fire Sprinkler Association, Frank Mortl III, CAE performs a variety of administrative oversight roles, is charged with the implementation of organizational policies and procedures, governmental affairs, and programming related to the Center for Life Safety Education. He also serves as spokesperson for AFSA and, in turn, for the merit shop fire sprinkler industry. Mortl heads external relationships with related industry groups as well as internal relations with AFSA chapters and affiliated state associations. Additionally, Mortl serves on the Board of Directors of the Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition as well as the National Advisory Committee of the Congressional Fire Services Institute. He is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and the Dallas/Fort Worth Association Executives. Mortl has earned the acclaimed Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation, a rare accomplishment within the nonprofit business community. A proud alumnus of Michigan State University and Michigan State University College of Law, Mortl is honored to provide AFSA members with executive-level leadership on behalf of the merit shop fire sprinkler contractor industry through the Association’s training, consulting, communication and representation programs.
