Webinar: NFPA 13, 2019 Ed. Part 3: Attics & Concealed Spaces

Webinar: NFPA 13, 2019 Ed. Part 3: Attics & Concealed Spaces
Join us for a webinar on the changes that impact concealed spaces and between floors and attics in the 2019 edition of NFPA 13.

Changes such as revised definitions of combustible and limited combustible material and new spacing guidelines when positions sprinklers on attic hips and eaves have an impact on when, where, and how automatic sprinkler systems should be installed. We will review these changes and discuss appropriate protection options for these spaces.

Upon completion of this webinar, participants should be able to:
    1. Describe the impact of NFPA 13’s new definition for combustible and limited combustible material has on the use of automatic sprinklers.
    2. Identify the construction types that make up “Obstructed” and “Unobstructed” Construction.
    3. Given a plan view and complete description of content, determine if an automatic sprinkler system is required.
    4. Identify the factors that influence sprinkler operation in pitched ceiling and describe how to appropriately protect the space.
