Come with us on a tour of America's most horrific assassination and behold for yourself the place where John Wilkes Booth shouted, "Sic semper tyrannis" after leaping to the stage from the balcony where he shot the president. As you walk from the White House to Ford's Theater, our guides will leave you riveted with this gripping account. The sites you'll encounter include National Theater, Ford's Theater, Baptist Alley, Peterson Boarding House, White House, Lafayette Square, Star Saloon and the U.S. Treasury Building.

TOUR 2: WASHINGTON, D.C. HIGHLIGHTS TRIP

MONDAY, OCT. 1
9:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Guests will be introduced to our nation's capital and see the best that Washington has to offer! A dedicated certified guide will begin the tour with an overview of Washington, DC, and entertain your group with unique, historical and entertaining facts about the city. They will pass by iconic DC memorials and buildings, with views of the White House, Washington Monument, World War II Memorial, Smithsonian museums and many more. From there, the group will see the U.S. Capitol before experiencing the Lincoln Memorial, War Memorials, Jefferson Memorial, and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial.

TOUR 3: COOKING DEMONSTRATION

TUESDAY, OCT. 2
10:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Limited to 15 Participants.

The Gaylord National Chef will demonstrate the techniques of Modern Sous Vide, the French culinary trend, cooking “under vacuum.” This technique is used with delicious success in five star gourmet restaurants around the world since its discovery in the early ‘70s. Sous vide is now taking the world of home cooking by storm. Chef will focus on Late Harvest Sous Vide in the Old Hickory Steakhouse. The demonstration will include a soup, two entrees and a dessert. Bon Appetit!

Capitol Building

TOUR 4: TOUR OF THE U.S. CAPITOL BUILDING

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 3
10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

A historically-trained private guide will lead the group through the U.S. Capitol, the home to the U.S. Congress and its two legislative bodies, the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate. Guests will also be taken through the Library of Congress and the Supreme Court. On this tour, the guide will discuss how Congress works, the history of the building's architecture, and how U.S. citizens participate in the process of our representative democracy. After the tour is over, guests will be able to go inside the Capitol Building to explore and learn more on their own.
