NATIONAL APPRENTICE COMPETITION

AUDIENCE VIEWING

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 3
12:30 PM – 3:30 PM

The National Apprentice Competition is AFSA’s flagship event, held every year in the AFSA Exhibition Hall. It is the biggest industry apprentice education and skills excellence event in North America. The seven competitors represent the finest craftsmen in the industry and stand out based on their performance in local competitions. The top seven apprentices advance to the national competition where they will cut, thread and install a miniature steel and plastic pipe system complete with sprinklers for a packed exhibit hall crowd. The winner with the highest combined points in the written and practical tests will receive top honors and a $5,000 cash award! Come and find out in person who will be the next national apprentice winner.

The Competition aims to raise the profile and recognition of skilled fire sprinkler apprentices, and to highlight for us all how vitally important the technical craft of installation is to the success of our industry. Established in 1994, the AFSA National Apprentice Competition is dedicated to strengthening and growing skilled apprentices, through higher education, advocacy, and industry promotion.

If you would like to support these efforts, please consider making a monetary contribution to help offset the rising costs associated with hosting this world-class skills competition. Your contribution will be recognized at our convention and exhibition and in Sprinkler Age magazine as well as various events at the convention. Visit AFSA's website for donation benefits and a registration form to contribute.
