The South Carolina Fire Sprinkler Association is proud to offer a 3-day fire sprinkler seminar series presented by John Denhardt, P.E., FSFPE and Ralph Foster, P.E.

When: 10/19/2021
This class will provide a 3-day hands-on review of the inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) requirements for sprinkler systems, standpipe systems, fire pumps, and common components for water-based fire protection systems. Half of the class will involve a classroom-based review and the other half will include hands-on demonstrations and practice.

Join us for a course to learn about the basics of NFPA 25, 2013 California edition. This course will discuss the scope, definitions, and general requirements found in the California edition of the standard which is based on the 2011 edition of NFPA 25. This webinar is geared toward certified fitters and is CAL-FIRE approved.

This webinar will review changes made to sprinkler installation requirements during the latest revision cycle to NFPA 13 contained within the 2022 edition of the newly adopted standard. Specific changes that will affect the sprinkler contractor will be highlighted.

At the conclusion of this class, the attendee will be able to understand and apply the principles of hydraulics including the different types of pressure, calculating changes in pressure (elevation and friction loss) and node analysis. The student will also be able to apply factors for equivalent length adjustments based on pipe type, size, and system arrangement.

Join AFSA for our first Beginning Fire Sprinkler System Planning School in the Sacramento area! The System Planning School presents a comprehensive, practical approach to preparing fire sprinkler system drawings. Students receive two full weeks of instruction, 60% of which is study and review of NFPA 13 (2019 Ed.). The other 40% is preparation of fire sprinkler system layout, shop drawings and hydraulic calculations.
