AFSA42 will kick off with an opening party on Wednesday, September 6, at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter™– Hogsmeade™ at Universal Studios. Guests will begin the evening with an exclusive dinner at Universal CityWalk™, where guests enjoy a variety of themes and cuisines. After an award-winning culinary team presents dinner, guests can explore an eclectic mix of venues, including Bob Marley – A Tribute to Freedom SM, Pat O’ Brien’s® Orlando, and CityWalk’s Rising Star™. The streets will stay alive with music from a DJ and stilt walkers. Then, guests will be escorted to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter™– Hogsmeade™, where they will experience a one-of-a-kind event filled with magic and excitement.

(Invitation Only) This networking and the educational event brings AFSA chapter leaders together to share, inspire, and collaborate on ideas to develop their chapters. Chapter leaders will gain the resources needed to develop and manage their chapters while having fun.

Each year, the General Session brings the AFSA family together to celebrate the best in the industry. AFSA will take this special occasion to recognize inspirational people in the industry by presenting its most prestigious honors to the Henry S. Parmelee Award winner, the Fire Sprinkler Advocate of the Year, and the Young Professional of the Year. AFSA will also introduce you to the top seven apprentices in the country. Join AFSA as we showcase the best of the best in the industry. This event is open to all registered attendees.

This is where cutting-edge technology and the innovative sprinkler design meet the experienced business leaders. They know how to put that technology to use. It all comes together at our marquee event – the Exhibition Grand Opening Reception! The exhibition hall showcases nearly 500 exhibiting company representatives, making it hands-down the leading exhibition of fire sprinkler products and services in the country. Attire is business casual.

The Manufacturer’s and Supplier’s (M/S) Council represents AFSA associate members. They meet to discuss relevant topics impacting the fire sprinkler industry. As an associate member of AFSA, you are invited to attend this meeting. As a guest, you will earn your opportunity to run in the next election to represent AFSA associate members on the M/S Council.

This event showcases the “best of the best” in the industry, beginning with a nationwide exam. The top seven apprentices advance to the national competition. They will cut, thread, and install a miniature wet pipe system complete with sprinklers and a pressure test — all on display to a packed exhibit hall crowd. The winner with the highest combined points on the onsite written test and practical install will receive top honors and a $5,000 cash award! Come and find out who will be the next national apprentice winner! The competition aims to raise the profile and recognition of skilled fire sprinkler apprentices and highlight how vitally important the technical craft of installation is to the success of our industry. Established in 1994, the AFSA National Apprentice Competition promotes the strengthening and growth of skilled apprentices through higher education, advocacy, and industry promotion.
